What information we collect?
We collect two types of information on our website, via email and through our service providers and distribution partners. Personal Information is information that identifies the customer personally, such as name and email address. We also collect other information that does not personally identify the customer, such as gender, country of residence and other demographic information.
To purchase our products and services, you must disclose Personal Information, including your name, email address, telephone number and credit card details, as well as other personally identifiable information. If the customer does not provide their personal information when purchasing one of our products or services, it will not be possible to confirm the purchase or complete the reservation.
At some point, we may also ask for other information such as demographic data, including your country of residence, gender, age, your travel habits, among others. We will also use cookies to collect information about the performance and usability of our website.
The customer can contribute to the website in different ways, including written reviews and comments. We may store these contributions (hereinafter referred to in this Privacy Policy as "Content"), and display them to other users and/or use them for promotional purposes. As explained below:
Email communications you can expect to receive from GTE
We may send marketing emails with information about GTE opportunities, destinations and product news, as well as contests, programs and other special promotions that we believe you will find interesting or informative. We will provide you with choices regarding the use of your personal information for marketing purposes. If you are not interested in receiving future marketing email communications from GTE, there are several options for you to opt out of receiving future mailings:
You can unsubscribe at any time by following the instructions and link included in each marketing email message we send.
You can email hello@gotraveleverywhere.com and request that you unsubscribe by including your name, email address, and the word "unsubscribe" in the subject or body of the message.
Please note that even if you opt out of receiving future marketing communications from GTE, we will continue to send you emails regarding your purchases and reservations and administrative information such as changes to our terms, conditions and policies. If you make a reservation or purchase on our website, we may also send you information about new products or ask for your opinion about our website, so that we can improve our services to customers and suppliers.
Our distribution partners and suppliers
Our products are made available through our suppliers and distribution partners, but also through our own operation.
Our distribution partners or suppliers may have privacy policies that differ from GTE's Privacy Policy.
You should also be aware that some tour or product providers and some of our distribution partners may need personal information or other additional information, such as information about your health or physical condition, to determine whether or not you can participate in an activity. The customer should only read and rely on the privacy policy of the relevant partner or supplier and not the privacy policy of GTE.
Some suppliers or distribution partners may operate in countries or states that do not have laws or regulations to protect and store personal information. GTE seeks to take reasonable steps to convince all of its suppliers and distribution partners to adopt and adhere to privacy policies that are substantially similar to this one. However, please be aware that GTE is not in a position to force compliance, so we will rely on you and other customers to inform us if your privacy is not being adequately protected by our suppliers or distribution partners. GTE may then seek to take steps including terminating its relationship with offending suppliers or distribution partners to help prevent further occurrences.
Our storage and security measures
At GTE, we seek to maintain the integrity and security of customers' personal information.
We seek to store your personal information in secure operating environments that are not accessible to the general public and have security measures in place at our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information by our employees or third parties.
However, no data transmission over the Internet or data storage environment can be guaranteed to be 100% secure; therefore, we cannot provide absolute guarantee that the information you provide to us will be secure at all times. GTE will not be responsible for events arising from unauthorized access to your personal information. GTE needs to be informed by the customer if it is witnessing any unusual event that may indicate a breach in the security of its information. We will then investigate whether the security breach was related to data transmissions to or from GTE and guide the customer as to what steps can be taken and which steps have been taken to help resolve the issue. Additional actions may be required, such as reporting incidents to the police or other appropriate authorities.
